I just saw a guy dressed up like a clown driving a pickup.

I had a dream last night that I had multiple facial piercings and they made my face feel heavy.

Nothing further to report.

10:20 am - god I'm glad I grew up
So, on Friday I went to the homecoming football game with some amigos (my first since I was in high school myself) which led me to some alarming questions and conclusions.
My questions are:
When did 10 year olds start playing high school football?
Why wasn't our team that good when I was attending?
Do super-low-cut pants look good on anybody?

Conclusions:
I am so glad I am not 16 anymore.
GOD I'M OLD.

Actually I am feeling quite content now. After all, I live in my own house and make my own coffee now, plus I no longer have urges to do strange things to my clothes and hair just to be "different." Not to mention the whole "I can go to a bar if I want to" thing... Yes, despite occasional fits of nostalgia, in the battle between 16 and 26, I'd have to say 26 wins out.

7:21 am - brain lint
I'm giving some mildly serious thought into hosting an exchange student sometime in the next couple years. Has anyone else ever done this? Keep in mind: I am poor.

1:42 pm - bring out your dead
I think that I probably have "KCAM" imprinted somewhere on my body from where that truck hit me. Ug. Fever of 101 and I was late for work this morning. Fortunately I only had to stay there for 1/2 hour before Kala (my manager) came and relieved me. Plus, she's going to cover for me in the morning, so I can just come in whenever I want to, which is really nice of her since she lives about 40 minutes away and the club opens at 5:30.

I'm seriously rethinking my "never gets flu shots" stance.

3:31 pm - my cat is falling apart
Do you think that Selsun Blue would work on a cat? Moobie has a bad case of flakes that's hard to hide in his black fur. I've never had a cat with dandruff before.

11:16 pm - Saturday outside of a nutshell
Today I:

*Helped cleanup the re-roofing of a house. Cedar shake is messy.

*Went the library book sale and spent $5 on 30 or so books, including As Nature Made Him by John Colapinto. I just finished reading it all in one sitting. If you have any interest in gender identity and the biological reasons behind it, I very much recommend it. Easy to read, and extremely engrossing, to say the least.

*Downloaded and began using Mozilla Firefox. I'm digging it.

7:44 am - Tagged by kidwhatever
Curse you, kidwhatever! You and your meme powers are to strong for me!

List seven songs you are into right now. no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

Actually, I get bombarded with music for 40 hours a week, so usually I just sit in blessed silence when I get home. HOWEVER, last night I did bust out some old skool peroxide mocha...

"Pocky In My Pocket" - Peroxide Mocha
This song is brilliant. Written by Peate, way back in the day, it is now considered a classic. And just because I'm a cheater...

"Pocky In My Pocket - Live from Iowa" - Peroxide Mocha
Almost like the original, but with more "greensleeves" samples. And live.

"Jack and Diane" - John Mellencamp
It's overplayed and it usually annoys me, but I've had "gonna let it rock, let it roll" stuck in my head for 2 days.

"Less Than Three" - Becky
I keep playing this at Curves. It confuses and amazes my army of old ladies.

"Summer of 69" - Bryan Adams
Same reason for Jack and Diane, except more Canadian.

"Parking Lot" - Peroxide Mocha
I'd forgotten about this song until this morning. It's not that old, and I'm listening to it on repeat.

"Like a Prayer" - Madonna
I am an Immaculate Collection whore.

Okay, I tag:
aimeegee
dreal
ironman1231
juanabee
lucifrix
schwartzboy
scottfreeman

If you don't pass this on, you will die.

8:19 am - can't win for losing
Everything broke this weekend, including my computer and telephone. No kidding.
The phone works now, but the computer is in the shop, so I'm temporarily out of service if you're trying to e-mail me.

Hopefully I'll be back by this weekend. Hopefully I don't screw things up again.

I've updated my userinfo and interests, I am now interested in a lot less things.
I'll probably add more later.

I went to the casino last night and saw a mildly horrifying, yet entertaining cover band. They played cliche songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's, one decade at a time and were not above dressing up as random pop icons. I had a good time, I kept stealing olives from the lady sitting across from me.

The complete list of "stuff ladies have given to me at work"

Eggs
Orchid
Croched Blanket (custom!)
Dishes - service for twelve
Sponge Frog
Wheat Thins
More Eggs
Pants
Teapot
Blanket
More Blankets
Flip-flops (2 pair)
Electronic Bug Repellers
Peas
Strawberries
Raspberry Jam - homemade
Bowls
Bags of Clothes
Hair Bands
Job Listings and References

I've also been offered but sadly declined:

Microwave
Queen Size Bed

This list will be updated as more random items pour in. Apparantly I look like I need eggs, blankets, and pants since those seem to be the most popularly gifted items.
Oh, and over the course of the summer my mother randomly decided that I must start collecting ashtrays, melmac, and translation dictionaries. So... if you need any of those things, I've got plenty.

Hi.
Still alive.

Using the internet at work, against the rules! Oh yes, life on the edge.
Things are good, I finally got a raise, and the list of strange things given to me by customers grows even longer. It now includes electronic bug repellers and a pair of sandals.

Peroxide Mocha has been produced in Japan, and Becky is going to be singing on a track in "Into the Groove III"
Fame, here I come.

Okay, gotta go. Ladies excersizing and all.

Thank goodness.
I found an affordable place to live today, complete with big fenced yard, tool shed, guest room, and a back porch. Plus, it's animal friendly and the lady who owns it is a Curves member and won't make me pay a deposit up front which is good because I can't. Yayyyy!!

Oh, and someone gave me a dozen fresh brown eggs today. Someday I'll make a list of strange things I've taken to the library because I recieved them as gifts at work. So far the list is small: A dozen free-range brown eggs, and a large potted orchid.
Stay tuned.

I am reaching a point where I am almost certain I shall become a manager at Curves soon. I also feel like I've been run over by something large and painful-looking, but I don't think those two facts are actually connected.

I have no money. Just thinking about it makes me want to puke.

I miss you Peate, Aimee, and Corey. I feel like I've gotten so close... yet (as they say) so very, very far away.

Now it is time for library books.
Anorexia is cheaper than eating.

Man, I cannot WAIT until I have my own place and own internet access again! This going to mom's work to check my e-mail thing is not too much fun. I am a sad monkey.

Work is good and I am tired. I want to get paid soon. Yayyyy money...

How are you?
