I told him he should find us a house when he gets down there, and we can all live together. I'm picturing a 3 or 4 bedroom 2 bath fenced yard kinda place. As much as I love Pennsylvania, this just isn't home. Matt and I just aren't east-coasters, plain and simple. I mean, if it were a choice between Philly and SanDiego, I'd choose Philly every time, but still, I want a place to call home.
In Austin, we'll have Matt and Drew's Uncle, my friend Jill and her husband Mike to be friends with. That's more of a start than we've had anywhere else. I can go back to college, for reals this time. I can get my DOGGIE!!!
I'm going home to Sequim next week for 10 days and Drew will pick me up at the airport. As much as I want to see everyone, it's going to be a family trip, I'm afraid. My grandparents are getting frightfully old and I'm aching to see them. I hate this time crap. Why can't I just be a kid forever? *sigh* Anyhow... mum is graduating from Evergreen with a degree in something horribly boring, so I'm going to go show my support. I also need to go get Matt's Stuff from his parent's house and put it in storage, along with a bunch of My Stuff from MY parent's house. That way whenever we settle, we only have to go to one central location to get all our left-behind furniture. I also need to see about getting my wedding dress cleaned and boxed professionally.
Man, when did I get so old?
"Well I don't know but I've been told,
You never slow down, you never grow old.
Tired of screwing up, tired of going down
Tired of myself, tired of this town."
~Tom Petty
